What if the world would truly collapse? Have we thought of the time when we are faced with the prospect of human extinction? In the movie, they depicted a reality when the world becomes inhabited. So, there is famine, scarcity of food and resources, there are natural disasters, and various unexplained anomalies.

The movie was quite interesting for me. I was fascinated by its sci-fi(yic) explorations. There are blackholes, wormholes, other planets, time travel, dimensions, time relativity and other things akin to those. So, they are more about space travelers, or rather space explorations.

So just a brief background, the world is in chaos and then Cooper and Murph came up to an unusual phenomenon (gravitational anomaly) which apparently tells them of a morse code leading to a coordinate. So, they followed it and stumbled in a NASA headquarter. Eventually they asked Cooper to pilot the aircraft, he agreed, and of course there was hesitance for his family and even himself but especially to his daughter Murph — that is why when he left the problem was not settled leading to complications of their relationship.

I do not know if all the facts presented in the movie was true. However, for the record, imagine if we could all travel into wormholes that wraps time and space into two making travels from planets to planets faster as compared in travelling from the usual route that it takes light years to before you could arrive. Take the closest star from our planet (proxima centauri) for example, wherein it would need to takes us 4.2 light years in order for us to reach there. But in the movie the time travel when they entered that discovered wormhole anomaly near Saturn leading to the other faraway planetary was 2 years. And that’s pretty mind blowing.

Or what if we could harness those things and use them as our common transportation here-from region to region, country to countries or planet to planets. But these are only the “what if’s” of possibilities.

Also, there is also this dimension part in the movie. I do not know much about dimensions especially 4th and 5th dimensions but mentioning them in the movie really pinned my ears. But I do understand a little the one, two and third dimensions. And we are the beings who understand better the third dimension. With that said, there was this part when Cooper and TARS sacrificed themselves and fell into the blackhole (gargantua). And to their surprise they found themselves in the fourth dimensional tesseract.  They presume that the “other” chose Murph as evident by that dimensional place purposefully intended on monitoring every moment of Murph at the back of her bookshelf. Moreover, I was interested by what Cooper said, that somehow at some point, we, human beings, through evolution could perhaps transcend into the higher dimensions (4th and 5th) that is why Cooper presumed it was those people who chose Murph to save the world and created that third dimensional world in that fifth dimensional place that has the actual surveillance for all the living moments of Murph.

In that scenario it begun getting more complicated like how come that Cooper was suddenly in the future. That cooper himself was actually the one who gave the message to Murph “STAY,” the coordinates leading to NASA and that he was the one who shook hands with Amelia at the aircraft, “the first shake hand” thing. Or that he was actually the ghost.

But at the same time, it also gets more interesting with the explanation of the time relativity. Wherein that beings of third dimension could go to the distant future and could be able to observe the past like what happened to Cooper and TARS but only, they couldn’t go back to the past because they just can’t. So, in order to communicate they recalled that it was only gravity that could traverse space and time. This now explains the morse code that was sent to Murph when she was still a child- “STAY”, and eventually the code registers in the watch- which led to Murph saving the humanity from the verge of extinction. But that was still complicated still.

Another point of reflection is the theory of time-relativity of Einstein. His theory is different from the phenomenological perspective of time. Because for science time is grounded by time dilation according to the dictate of one’s planets’ gravitational pull. But in phenomenology, the world time only exists because of the self and the inner time consciousness as ground for what we call the world time.
